programs

Depending on the extent of their medical equipment needs, healthcare centers in developing countries can receive medicines through the "Parcel under the arm" program. The “Healthcare support” program provides equipment, medical supplies and medications.

“Healthcare support” program

This program helps us respond adequately in the following specialties: cardiology, surgery, dentistry, dermatology, gynecology, maternity, pediatrics, pharmacy, orthopedics, ophthalmology and primary health care.

As a stakeholder in the project, the healthcare center assumes the costs associated with land and sea transport, customs fees and part of the CSI services.

"Parcel under the arm" program

This program consists of sending medicines in suitcases through travelers. Thus, partnerships are created with CEGEPs and universities that offer health care programs to equip student interns in developing countries.

  • Health network material collection service

CSI is the only organization accredited, since 1996, by the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec for the collection of unused equipment in the public health network. Through this equipment collection, we contribute to reducing the GHG emissions of the healthcare network, thereby to the overall ecological footprint set by the Government of Quebec. Materials also come from the private sector. The collection service is carried out by appointment in Quebec, sometimes in Ontario and New Brunswick.

    Medical equipment collection service

CSI's pickup service has a truck and two rotating teams that travel throughout Quebec, extending to Ontario and New Brunswick. To assist in the disposal of your medical equipment, we have compiled a list of our needs.

CSI is now certified carbon neutral.

    Recycling and recovery

Material that does not meet our technical or health requirements is dismantled, sorted by material and transferred to other organizations for recycling, revaluation or elimination. Each year, nearly 100 tons of metals are resold to finance the organization's international cooperation projects.

CSI has adopted a sustainable development policy in order to adopt eco-responsible behavior in all its projects.
